Damien Sachs seemingly has it all: money, power, and a never ending stream of casual flings. As he prepares to ascend to the role of CEO at a leading advertising agency, his life is turned upside down when he wakes up in his worst nightmare: a parallel world dominated by women. Where he once ruled the boardroom, he now finds himself humbled and going head-to-head with the newly fierce and fearless Alex Fox. With the rules of engagement changed and Alex at the top of her game, the two boldly battle it out in a playful and satirical comedy about what happens when the script is flipped.

Recommendation
At least once to everyone, especially men!
— If the board had any balls, I'd be the CEO. — "Had any balls"? Did you just make that up? — No, it's a popular phrase. — What do you suppose it means? — It means to be a man, to have balls, to be powerful, to be strong. — Balls?! The delicate sacks that dangle from your body, where the slightest tap sends you weeping to the ground?
This film is a remake of the French Netflix film Je ne suis pas un homme facile from 2018.
After seeing the trailer a couple of days ago, we knew immediately we weren’t going to miss this — so yes, we watched it on the very first day it came out.
I can say with full confidence that this film should be watched at least once by everyone — and especially by men — because it brilliantly illustrates how society is currently structured and mocks men who have an entire world built around them but still manage to complain about being oppressed and claim that “women have it easy”.
The cast is wonderful and the humour is sharp. The pull quote alone is worth it. It’s refreshing to finally see creators and studios bold enough to say the quiet part out loud!
Did you know that in 1986, studies on breast and uterine cancer were conducted in New York — with an all-male participant group? That’s how absurd patriarchal, male-centred society actually is. And the film does a great job of highlighting exactly this kind of thing — things many of us deal with every single day.
P.S. I have a feeling this film might end up with a low rating — men are already trashing it online. Men. So emotional.
I recommend this film to everyone — at least once, and 8/10!
